What do you think a plant scientist does all day? Where do you think they work? And what do they do with plants anway? Read this informational article about what a plant scientist might do in just ONE day in the rainforest.

Do not read fast, this article is COMPLEX. There is a lot of information and new words to process but I know you can understand it if you keep a T-Chart of your thinking as you read, with questions, inferences, and words and phrases to clarify. When you are finished reading, this is your assignment to post.
1. Write down at least 10 tasks in order that the plant scientist does in one day.
2. Write a reaction to what you read? What did you think? What did you learn? What is your opinion of plant scientists?

I think they study all day and they work outside where plants are and I think they study what the plants features are.
Let me give you an example of the kind of post I expect on an informational article like this one about a plant scientist.
This plant scientist and his research team are camped out in the Amazon Rainforest which is near the equator. They sleep in hammocks and have one light blanket. When they wake up at the same time every day, they can smell the plants in the rainforest because it has lots of scents. It also rains several hours a day and that makes the plants and flowers smell too. This plant scientist and his team are trying to study the amount of carbon that is escaping out of the rainforest.
The first thing a scientist does is they wake up and get dressed ,the second thing they do is they go eat breakfast witch is usually fresh fruit from the forest and eggs any way ,the third thing they do is they get in the pick up truck and drive for 20 minutes to the Amazon rain forest,the fitch thing they do is they have to go through the forest in the hot forest looking for carbon dioxide, the sixth thing they do is they make carbon dioxide measurements in the forest, the seventh thing they do is they look for leaf samples and then when they find them they collect them,the eighth thing they do is they measure the fastest growing leaves and trees at the top of the canopy, the ninth thing they do is they see smoke and then they know it is time for lunch so they go eat lunch, the tenth thing they do is they hike back to the logging deck and eat their lunch. My reaction was that I thought that the sun does not rise at 6:30 and I also thought that I could not do what they do I defenetly could not live there!
Did you know that the sun rises at 6:00pm.It must be hard to wake up that early and when you are a plant scientist you have to sleep in a cotton hammock.
Task 1dont play because you can get hurt or lost.
Task2 always get along with your team because you need to get work done.
Task3 stay together and discuss your info with your team.
Task4 always believe in your self and do your best.
Task5 dress appropriatly because it might be very hot.
Task 6 always carry a first aid kit in case anyone gets hurt.
Task7 carry everything you might need.
Task8 make sure you have lots of water you will get thirsty.
