Kudos to you! If you’re considering applying for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program, you’ve already accomplished a great deal in your high school career. And the program can help you and your school get the recognition you deserve.

Get recognized.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman Program recognizes outstanding seniors and their schools at every stage of the program. Everyone who completes an application can download an official certificate. And if you’re selected as a school, state, or national finalist, you’ll receive a Heisman Patch as well as an official winner’s certificate, medal, or trophy from the program. Plus you’ll be recognized by your school, community, and possibly the nation at special events and ceremonies.

Participating and winning this recognition award will look great on your college and scholarship applications and your resume. But the ultimate reward is the close community of Wendy’s High School Heisman winners you’ll be apart of and the acknowledgement you will receive for a job well done.

The first 25,000 students to apply for the program will receive a Wendy’s Gift Card worth $10 dollars. Winners at each stage of the program also receive increasing amounts of additional Wendy’s Gift Cards, with $500 Gift Cards going to our two National Winners!

As you progress from stage to stage, you can also earn cash prizes for your school. The high schools of all 12 National Finalists each receive a $2,000 donation in the Finalist’s name. And the high schools of our two National Winners will receive $10,000 in donations in the student’s name! Learn more about the program stages and awards.

Senior Supplies

Seniors: Caps and gowns and graduation announcements ordered at school last fall or online this spring will be delivered in the school lobby NEXT WEEK on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Seniors with a last name starting with A-M may pick up their order on Thursday and seniors with a last name starting N-Z may pick up their order on Friday.

Invoices were mailed to seniors who owe a balance last month and balances must be paid in full before receiving the order. You may pay your balance online with a debit or credit card at www.hjgradservices.com by Tuesday, April 30 or bring cash or money order to the Herff Jones table in the school lobby during lunch or after school on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3.

Herff Jones cannot accept a personal check for final payment.

We would like to alleviate some of the stress associated with graduation and the many decisions that you and your senior will be faced with in the coming weeks. This guide contains important information that will help these last few weeks in high school be successful for you and your child. Monday, January 14, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the KHS Media Center. A representative from the College Foundation of NC will present detailed information about the college financial aid process.

Senior Breakfast ~ 2nd Semester

Hello KHS Senior Parents!

The senior breakfast will be held –Wednesday, January 23 at 9:00. Seniors will report to first period by 8:05am and will be around 8:55 for the senior breakfast.

The Senior breakfast is sponsored by senior parents, and we have about 350 seniors to feed, so we will need everyone’s help!

We are asking for food, time, and/or gift card donations! Please review the following list to see how you can help make the first day a great start for our seniors.

Here’s what we will need:

Food
We are asking parents of seniors to bring in food or items by category, according to the first letter of your student’s last name, as noted below. Each parent should bring enough items to serve at least 24 students.

A-E— Danishes or Doughnuts
F-I— Bagels (with Cream Cheese or Butter Packets) or Cereal Bars
J-N— Hot Sandwiches (sausage or chicken biscuits, ham and egg muffins, etc)
O-S— Fruit, Fruit Juice, Bottled Water, or Yogurt Cups
T-Z– Paper plates, cups, napkins, utensils, or decorations

Gift Cards
If you prefer to contribute $$$ instead of (or in addition to!) food, we will accept gift cards to purchase additional items as needed. Please place gift cards in a sealed envelope marked “Senior Breakfast” and deliver it to Student Services by Friday, January 18.

Time
We will need VOLUNTEERS to set up, manage food tables/lines, and clean after the event. Volunteers should arrive by 8:15am. Breakfast will end at 9:30.

Non-perishable food items and paper products may be dropped off on Tuesday, January 22 between 8:00am and 3:00pm. Please label items “Senior Breakfast”.

MID-YEAR GRADUATION: Congratulations to our mid-year graduates. Mid-year Graduation is Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 6:00pm in the Knightdale High School Auditorium.

SENIOR BREAKFAST: The KHS Senior Parents will host a breakfast for the Class of 2013 on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Senior parents are seeking donations and assistance with the breakfast. If you can participate, please contact Student Services at 919-217-5400.

FINANCIAL AID/SENIOR INFORMATION NIGHT: Students and parents are invited to attend the Knightdale High School Financial Aid Night on Monday, January 14^th at 6:00 PM in the Knightdale High School Auditorium

Last Chance for Senior Supply Orders! Tue, Dec 18

ATTENTION SENIORS!

Herff Jones will accept FINAL orders for caps and gowns, graduation announcements and products on Tuesday, December 18 during the lunches from 11:15 AM – 1:15 PM in the school’s lobby. Bring your completed order form you received in the catalog during the presentation and your payment to the order table. Additional order forms are available in the school’s main office. A down payment of $80 is required to place an order and the balance after the down payment may be paid in monthly payments or on delivery day in May. Cash, check or money order payable to Herff Jones, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover will be accepted for the $80 down payment.

This is your FINAL opportunity to place an order for your cap and gown at school!
