We’ve spent the past month reorganizing our media center to make it more user friendly and hopefully more enjoyable for our students, staff, and parents. We interfiled all of our reference books into the nonfiction section so that students will find them easier and use them in their research.

We also created a number of small, quiet study or reading areas on the mainly fiction side of the media center. We moved the literature, poetry, and myths and legends books into the fiction section as well. Be sure to check out the poetry table, too!

Around our mural, we added comfy chairs, a table with art supplies, and put all the arts books (art, drawing, music, crafts) in this area. Our animal and pet books are all pulled into a central location, and our sports books are in another leisure reading section.
